Pre Production

The start of any good production is a well planned, detailed pre-production phase. A well timed script or time-keyed composition ensure that the production phase is efficient and effective, get the sound you’re after quickly and accurately.

For bands and performing artists this usually happens with metronome based rehearsals and guide track recordings at the Apex Studios.

Record

The tracking process, the patience-builder and character breaker. Our engineers push for perfection in the tracking process, making sure the tracks are click-perfect.

Our studio is equipped to handle all your requirements and can accommodate more than 200 channels of digital audio. Whether your requirements are for your bands latest demo or EP, to your next full length album, there is nothing we can’t do including mixing and mastering! We also offer graphic design and pressing packages for artists looking for a one-stop solution.

Mix

This is where the magic happens, our engineers take the recorded tracks and EQ, compress, expand and limit the tracks until they are sonically perfect.
Whether it is spoken word or an intricate Jazz band, we make sure we get you heard, the way you should.

Master

Finalising the mix and adding the codes, the mastering process is handled in-house at the Apex Multimedia Studio.

We are proud to say that we are one of a handful of studios in Africa that offers clients the option to master to analogue tape using the Studer A80 mastering machine; this is still used on many commercial recordings today by major record labels.

We use brands Focusrite, Neumann, Shure, Sennheiser, Rode, M-Audio, Apple, Studer, PreSonus, Yamaha and many more to ensure that your product is nothing short of World-Class.
